I leave in a little over a month for 27 months of service with the Peace Corps in Benin!
I’ll be using this blog to update people on how I’m doing: letting y’all know that I’m still alive, what my daily life is like, stories from the classroom, stories from my travels. I still have no idea how often I’ll have internet access, so no updates yet on how often I’ll be able to update the blog. But this will be the best way for me to give updates on my life in Benin, since internet time will likely be somewhat limited and sending emails to multiple people will take a long time.
Right now, I’m spending my time enjoying life in America and getting ready to leave! There’s a lot to do, but I’m making sure to take time to eat all the delicious and fattening foods I won’t have, and watching lots of tv and movies and sports. For those of you keeping track, I’ll be in Durham until Thursday (May 24), then Indianapolis till June 1, when Amy and I will visit Anne in Paris (with trips to Berlin and Vienna) until June 12. Then I start staging in Philadelphia June 24!

As I get closer to staging, there will be lots of new updates! Till then, if you want to see me before I leave the States let me know!
